⚽LOCAL STAR REPRESENTS ON THE NATIONAL STAGE ⚽
The Mudgee Gulgong Wolves FC is celebrating local star Evie Vitnell, who was selected to represent the First Nations Charles Perkins XI team (U15s) at the 2026 CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships, held at at the Home of the Matilda’s fields in Melbourne this week.
The CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships is the nation’s premier youth football event, bringing together U15 and U16 girls’ teams from across the country and providing a pathway for young female footballers aiming to progress to national representation.
Evie has been a long-term member of the Wolves, playing through Western Youth League age groups, with Western NSW FC and the Wolves Ladies Premier League team, before joining the Newcastle Jets NPL program earlier this year.
The club is so proud of Evie’s achievements and wishes her every success as her football journey continues.
